November 20, 2012—January 6, 2013

Step into a Wee Winter Wonderland at The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures. The museum will be decorated for the holidays from November 20th through January 6th, including more than a dozen miniatures depicting the holidays through time and around the world! Holiday musical performances and craft projects for children add to the festivities. Please note the museum will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
All included with regular museum admission!
Free for museum members.

In addition to decorations in the lobby and galleries, more than a dozen miniatures will be decorated depicting different holiday traditions around the world or in different eras. Look for these miniatures in our permanent collection and read the didactic panels to learn about the holiday tradition: Charlie’s Angels’ House (Kwanzaa celebration), Japanese Family Farmhouse and Japanese Kitchen (Shogatsu), Casita Bonita (Christmas in the Southwest), Kupjack Georgian Dining Room (Hanukkah celebration), Alderly Manor (an Edwardian Christmas), German Dollhouse (a traditional Christmas in Germany), Tordis Hus (a Danish Christmas celebration), Daneway House (18th century English Christmas), Dayvewood Drive (1940s Holiday Season), Southwest Animal Motorcycle Gang (holiday decor Southwest style), Yellow Rose of Texas (decor Clark Griswald would be proud of), German Christmas Stall (Christkindlmarkt), Reflections (1930s American New Year’s Celebration).
